Platform China – dRoom space will present the exhibition 《A TOAST OF SPRING》that include more than 20 works of A Qin’s watercolor paintings in recent four years on September 25, 2022. This is her first solo exhibition as an artist. Starting to paint at age 57, is kind of late for anyone. Encouraged by her son You Yong, this housewife from Wenzhou attempted to paint after retirement, accidently turning life onto a new page.  

The exhibition was named as 《A TOAST TO SPRING》. Bright spring brought enjoyment to everyone, provided equal opportunity to individuals who devoted to life. Painting is not only a subjective behavior to A Qin, but it also represents the echo and resonance to the sense of living. At her age around 60s, she had her own judgments to experiences over the time. Rather than A Qin chose the painting, painting encountered A Qin in a pure and substantial format. 

From A Qin’s brush, those fresh fruits enriched moisture、flourishing flowers that well-designed、elegant tableware and vases, were highlighted and focalized from ordinary day-to-day life. It is a straightforward experience of aesthetic for average human being, meanwhile, it is also a reflection and consideration of painting inspiration from her daily life.
