Time - Zhang Yexing Project is one of the Platform China’s annual project “Jungle II- A Thriving Morphology”. It will exhibit Zhang Yexing’s work both at Art Beijing 2013 (Booth B6) and Platform China (Beijng) simultaneously.

"Philosophical principles of time and space: time is easy to make a illstion of‘Time flies so fast that it makes no distinction between day and night’, in fact, time is still, is our flies. "

Zhang Yexing was born in 1981, graduated from Central Academy of Fine Arts experimental video department, then focusing on oil painting.

His recent paintings are focus on the empty room, which are about the subtle relationship between time and space.

"Time is the 'sustainable' property of material existence, space is the 'extension' property material existence." In Zhang Yexing’s painting, the continuity of time and the tractility of space are interwoven and co-exist. His paintings always been recreated, and focus on the sense of time and space, using light and shade to catch the state of space and implied time.

The project named "part-time", focusing at the continuous of time, and the period of time in his painting has detail expressed and alluding both in creative process and artistic rendering.

The project will start at 30th April 2013 (Tue.) at Art Beijing 2013 Booth B6(17:00) and Platform China Contemporary Art Institute (15:oo).
